As we conclude our fourth Fellowship cohort with 100 incredible women, we are catching up with the Fellows to share their experience of the program.

Victoria started her career in law working at top tier law firms in both Australia (Herbert Smith Freehills) and London (Bristows) before transitioning to management consulting. As a management consultant, she worked on developing and implementing strategies for both public and private organisations. Most recently, she co-founded Egal Health, an online platform that connects psychologists with patients in the LGBTIQ+ community and provides counselling online. She is now in a Leadership Operations role at Propeller Aero.

What is The Fellowship to you?

The Fellowship is an invaluable opportunity for women to learn about the startup ecosystem in Australia by connecting with a broad network of VCs, founders, operators, mentors and peers who are all committed to helping each other succeed. The Fellowship provides a space for women to better understand their skillsets and strengths and identify how these can provide value to a startup.

Would you recommend The Fellowship?

Yes, definitely! For anyone who is interested in entering the startup world, The Fellowship provides exposure to a broad startup network that is hard to access anywhere else over only a short 2 month period. For those that are currently feeling unfulfilled in their career and not sure what their next move is, The Fellowship will help you identify your skills, values and what’s important to you in your career and connect with you suitable job opportunities or individuals to help you find your ideal role.

What lessons did you learn from The Fellowship?

I learnt that everyone experiences self-doubt and feelings of imposter syndrome no matter how confident or successful they appear. What’s important is that you feel the fear and do it anyway.

Where are you now?

I am now at Propeller Aero in a Leadership Operations role helping the CEO, Rory San Miguel, and the leadership team optimise the business for further growth.
